THE TEACHER ADVISORY PROGRAM

Students will have a Teacher Advisor with whom they will maintain regular contact.

The Teacher Advisor:

  • will monitor the various aspects of school life for an identified group of students, including the students' academic progress and general success in adapting to high school;
     

  • is responsible for helping students make informed choices at key transition points in their schooling;
     

  • will act as a contact for parents and will be an intermediary between students and the Principal;
     

  • will work with students on their Annual Education Plans, and on selecting Community Involvement activities;
     

  • will not be expected to take on a disciplinary role.
